PRE-SERVICE ELT TEACHERS’ PERSPECTIVES OF LANGUAGE ASSESSMENT IN EMERGENCY DISTANCE EDUCATION

In the realm of education, and especially in English language teaching (ELT) field, relationship between strategies assessment process is very close. Like instructional strategies, current events like COVID-19 may have an immediate impact on procedures. order to better understand how traditional alternative types emergency distance education relate in-class instruction, this research sought interview pre-service teachers. Students from ELT department 2nd (N: 60) 4th 66) grades participated study. A semi-structured was used mix-type study triangulate quantitative data after participants completed a Likert-type questionnaire. Four key themes emerged independent sample t-test content analysis: (a) Pre-service teachers for differed significantly, students latter grade are more accustomed using methods; (b) Since grader were largely unfamiliar with assessment, there statistical differences perspectives assessment; (c) favored skill-based than students; (d) when it came integration no discernible difference students. light findings, proposed that be included into present curriculum at earlier levels.
